Introduction

RaceTeamOS is the digital home for your race team. It replaces notebooks, spreadsheets, maintenance binders, and setup sheets with one connected platform — accessible on any device, designed for use at the track.

Everything in RaceTeamOS is connected. A race weekend links to a setup, which links to a track, which links to your AI recommendations. Maintenance links to cars and engines. Photos link to race weekends. Nothing lives in isolation.

Initial Setup

1. Create your team

When you register, you'll be asked to name your team. This is the name that appears throughout the app and on your public team page (if you enable it).

2. Add your driver

Go to Drivers in the sidebar and add your primary driver. You can add multiple drivers on Pro plans.

3. Add your car

Go to Cars and add your race car with its number and class. You can track multiple cars on Pro plans.

4. Log your first race weekend

Go to Race Weekends → New Race and log your first event. Even if it's in the past, adding historical data immediately improves your AI recommendations.

Mobile App

RaceTeamOS is a progressive web app (PWA). To install it on your phone:

  • iPhone: Open Safari, go to raceteamos.com, tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen"
  • Android: Open Chrome, tap the menu, then "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App"

Once installed, it opens full-screen like a native app with offline support for recently viewed pages.

Race Weekends

Race weekends are the core record in RaceTeamOS. Each weekend can include:

  • Track, date, driver, and car assignment
  • Weather conditions (temp, humidity, wind)
  • Surface condition (dry, tacky, slick, wet)
  • Gear ratio and tire pressures
  • Heat and feature results
  • Best lap time
  • Driver feedback and crew notes
  • Linked setups, photos, and telemetry

AI Crew Chief

Your AI Crew Chief learns from your race history and gives setup recommendations based on your own data — not generic advice.

The more race weekends you log, the better the recommendations. The AI considers:

  • Previous setups at the same track
  • Weather and surface conditions that match
  • Which setups produced your best results
  • Telemetry consistency data

Access the AI Crew Chief from the sidebar under Intelligence → AI Crew Chief or from the dashboard widget.

Race Readiness Score

Your Race Readiness Score is calculated automatically from six factors:

  • Trailer checklist — percentage of checklist items marked ready
  • Setup on file — whether you have a saved setup for the upcoming track
  • Maintenance — any critical or high-priority items due
  • Engine status — whether any engines are flagged for rebuild
  • Inventory — any parts below minimum stock levels
  • Driver — whether an active driver is assigned

A score of 100% means everything is ready. The score updates automatically as you complete items.

Plans & Billing

RaceTeamOS is free during beta. When billing activates, your team will be notified in advance with time to choose a plan. See Pricing for full details.

Your Data

Your data belongs to you. We don't sell it, share it, or use it to improve AI for other teams. Your race history only improves recommendations for your own team.

You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
